The unbelievable vocalist Asha Bhonsle has excited ages of Indians. Conceived on September 8, 1933, Asha Bhonsle's singing profession began in 1943. She has sung a wide scope of melodies running from film music, pop, bhajans, Indian traditional music, people tunes, qawwali, ghazals, and Rabindra Sangeet. She has sung in countless and unknown dialects.

Her dad, Pandit Dinanath Mangeshkar was a famous theater performer and established artist. Her first film melody was Chala Nav Bala for the Marathi motion picture Majha Bal (1943). She made her Hindi film debut with the melody Saawan aaya for Hansraj Behl's Chunariya in 1948. She wedded 31-year old Ganpatrao Bhosle, however, the marriage fizzled. She sang to bring home the bacon, however, was not all that famous like Geeta Dutt, Shamshad Begum and her sister Lata Mangeshkar. She didn't outwit tunes. Her melodies in Dilip Kumar-starrer Sangdil (1952) brought her name and acclaim. Her melody Nanhe Munne Bachche in Boot Polish (1954) turned out to be well known.

A portion of her remarkable motion pictures incorporate C.I.D. (1956), Naya Daur (1957), Teesri Manzil(1966), Umrao Jaan (1981) and Ijazat (1987), Asha's joined with noted music chief R D Burman's to produce various hits during the 1970s. These included melodies like Piya tu abdominal muscle to aaja (Caravan), Dum Maro Dum (Hare Krishna Hare Rama), Duniya Mein (Apna Desh), Chura Liya (Yaadon Ki Baarat). She wedded R.D. Burman in 1980

She keeps on singing in films and her melodies in the 1995 motion picture Rangeela was a major hit.
